Over UAH 5 million from a state-owned enterprise: court judgment enforced

The client’s problem

By a judgment of 29 January 2025, the Commercial Court of the City of Kyiv ordered SE “Guaranteed Buyer” to pay the client – a company – UAH 4,914,507.11 in debt, 3% per annum, inflation losses and UAH 66,192.03 in court fees, and by a supplementary judgment of 25 February 2025 a further UAH 60,000 in legal costs. The judgments were upheld on appeal and by the Supreme Court (ruling of 7 August 2025), and enforcement orders were issued on 1 July 2025. However, enforcement dragged on.

What we did

We sent attorney’s requests to the State Enforcement Service and the State Treasury.
We applied for judicial control over enforcement: on 11 November 2025, the court ordered the head of the enterprise to report within 15 days on the enforcement of the orders for UAH 4,914,507.11 in debt, UAH 66,192.03 in court fees and UAH 60,000 in legal costs.
We challenged the state enforcement officer’s actions in court – the complaint was accepted for consideration on 25 November 2025.

Outcome

On 10 December 2025, the Commercial Court of the City of Kyiv accepted the report of SE “Guaranteed Buyer” on enforcement of the judgment in respect of the principal debt, court fees and legal costs – UAH 5,040,699.14 in total.
