The cost of legal assistance depends on the volume of work, not on how complicated the situation looks at first glance. So we assess the scope first and agree the payment terms afterwards — in writing, before the work begins.
When to get in touch
- you want an idea of the cost before instructing us
- you need to forecast the legal spend on a matter
- you are choosing between a one-off service and ongoing support
- you need help across several areas at once
What this means in practice
- Fixed fee — an agreed sum for a specific service or stage. Suitable where the work can be defined in advance: preparing a claim, attending an investigative action, registration actions
- Hourly rate — payment for time actually spent, with a report on the work done. Suitable for matters of unpredictable scope
- Retainer — a monthly fee for a defined scope of services. Suitable for businesses with ongoing legal needs
- Success fee — additional remuneration for the outcome, where the engagement expressly provides for it; used alongside one of the main formats
- Combined format — a fixed element for a stage plus an hourly rate for additional work
- The cost is affected by: the complexity of the matter, the stage it has reached, the volume of documents, the number of court instances, urgency and the need to travel
Legal basis
The terms of an engagement for the provision of legal assistance, including how the fee is calculated, are governed by the Law of Ukraine “On the Bar and Practice of Law”. The scope of services and the payment terms are recorded in the engagement before the work begins.
This page reflects the position as of August 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Why are there no prices on the site?
The cost depends on the volume of work in the particular situation. We quote it once we have assessed the circumstances — and fix it in the engagement, so there are no surprises for the client.
Can the cost change while the work is under way?
The agreed cost of a stage does not change. If the scope grows — for example, the case moves to the next instance — that is agreed separately before the new work begins.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Paying by stages is standard practice: each stage is paid for before work on it begins.
Do you guarantee the outcome?
No. A lawyer is answerable for the professionalism and thoroughness of the work, not for the decision of a court or a public authority — no lawyer can guarantee an outcome.
